Wider AcHievement

Well Done to our Bronze DofE group who completed the Practice Expedition in Queen Elizabeth Forest Park camping overnight at Loch Achry.

A HUGE!! Well done to all of our athletes who competed for Trinity in the South Lanarkshire Cross Country event in Biggar with over 500 pupils crossing the finish line and 15 secondary schools participating. As usual our pupils were a credit to the school and rose to the occasion.
Particular congratulations go to Sophia McLachlan s2 who gained a Bronze in her race with a very gutsy performance.

Trinity took part in another really successful Conference of Schools event this year, planned and run by the Sustainability Youth Forum: Amber Cooper and Luke Sutherland S6, Daniel Clarke S5, Molly Mae Gilchrist S4 and May Miller S3.

Trinity were involved in the COS event on the 25th and 26th March. Across the 2 days, the Trinity team delivered presentations to several groups of primary school pupils and led them in workshops on building ‘Bug Hotels’ to take home with them.  They also took part in a ‘Pollen Chase’ game to teach them about the importance of pollination in our environment.

The Youth Forum team were a credit to Trinity High and the displayed great communication and leadership skills throughout the whole event.

Three of our senior pupils - Brianna Kennedy, Oliver McCormack and Imogen Millar -  attended St Mark's Primary School for their Cultural and Diversity Week where they performed to the primary pupils, gave them a talk on traditional music and led them through some ceilidh dances.  All 3 spoke with confidence about their love of traditional music and demonstrated their instruments, whist also giving some wonderful live performances that left the pupils and staff tapping their toes and clapping their hands.  They also played for the pupils to take part in a couple of ceilidh dances and it was a joy to see their hall full of pupils from P7 all the way down to the nursery children who danced along and had a fantastic time! It's amazing to see what a powerful impact music has on pupils from the 'big ones' ready to move onto high school to the tiniest little tot in nursery! 🙂

All the pupils and staff loved the experience and our 'Trad Trio' really did themselves and Trinity proud!

Some of our S2 pupils attended an unveiling of their work at Cunigar loop.  The pupils were: Eve Campbell, Adam Clark, Emilia Milne, Zoe Ritchie, Niall Smith and Emilie McLachlan.

After a total of 63 submissions for our Book Cover Competition the winners are in! The submissions were very difficult to choose but two first place winners and runners up were selected.

We are delighted to share the fantastic success of our pupils at the South Lanarkshire Schools Dance Competition last night. Both teams delivered outstanding performances and were a real credit to the school.

Zoe Morrison (S5) choreographed the Senior Contemporary dance, while our S1 team choreographed their own Contemporary routine. The pupils have shown tremendous commitment, practising after school and during lunchtimes over the past four months.

Our Senior pupils also achieved some amazing individual successes. Amelia Burns (S4) won the Senior Solo Freestyle Dance-Off, and Cerys Newman was awarded Overall Outstanding Performer. In addition, the team finished as overall runners-up in the competition.

We are incredibly proud of the girls, and it is wonderful to see their hard work and dedication rewarded.

Battle of the Bands 2026 was nothing short of extraordinary. Hamilton's Townhouse provided the perfect stage as 14 South Lanarkshire schools came together to compete for this year’s coveted title and our very own 'The Bugz' came runner up and were nothing short of fantastic! We are so proud of them and all their hard work, everyone absolutely loved last night! Those pesky weans at Larkhall took the title this year but it was a brilliant night!

Over 650 in the audience and more than 90 talented young musicians took to the stage. Their confidence and stage presence were truly impressive!
